What’s calling you forward in 2025
So…2024 was quite a year for many of us. For me, it was filled with profound health and personal challenges. Physical limitations from an old injury intensified, literally stopping my movement - it felt like it was both creating and reflecting my inner state. As the year ended, I knew that something was shifting. Clarity emerged through the difficulties, bringing into sharp focus what matters most, and a path forward. 2025 is a pivotal year, bringing chaos, challenges, and possibility. It calls for high achievers to grow and step into their role as change-makers in new ways. I'll be sharing insights about this unique time and the profound difference high achievers can make. I often choose a word or focus for the new year. For 2025, I chose 3 – each a gateway to deeper possibilities. I’ll be talking about these and how we can use them intentionally to [...]
A Wild, Scary, Frustrating, and Amazing Week
I’d like to share a wild, scary, frustrating, and amazing week I had recently. I went upstate for the weekend - without my computer. I was expecting to be back home by Monday… and my car broke down Sunday. Acura neglected to secure numerous bolts in my car after taking the engine out for a big recall service. Much of the oil leaked out, my car seized, something burned … In the fray of trying to figure out all this car and work stuff, and how to get home, I’ve looked for blessings, including those not apparent at first glance. Beyond the wonderful, obvious gift of more time with my daughter, son-in-law, and granddogs, there have been other gifts. I’d like to share two now: I ended up going to a workshop upstate the following Saturday and Sunday. I’d thought about going to this workshop before, but it was [...]
I will be writing for Newsmax!
Ok, I’m seriously excited to share this—I will be writing for Newsmax! A huge “Thank you!” to Jeremy L Knauff for doing his PR magic to make this happen…and for always doing what he says he’ll do! In my new column, I’ll be interviewing business leaders to unpack the psychology behind their financial and business decisions along with their challenges and successes. It’s going to be a lot of fun and we’re going to uncover a lot of powerful insights and actionable advice. My first interview will be with nationally recognized financial expert, Dr. David Phelps, DDS. I haven’t had an opportunity to talk to him yet, but I’ve read a lot of his work and I’ve learned about his backstory from articles about him. I’m impressed by what I’ve learned so far because he’s overcome some pretty intense challenges with incredible grace. I’m looking forward to interviewing Dr. [...]
Nobody Ever Regrets Starting to do the Good Things for Themselves Sooner
A woman messaged me asking if she could join my FB group for women diagnosed with breast cancer. She said it sounded amazing. I sent her the link, and she asked if she could join in a few weeks. She was just diagnosed with cancer and wanted to wait a few weeks. I get it! I told her I would welcome her now or later, but I recommended sooner for several reasons. She could get started on her healing and health journey sooner. And, she could start taking control of her healing…a factor that is often seen in good outcomes - including in advanced cancer. While I kept her confidentiality, it sparked a deep conversation with a close friend about how no one regrets doing the things that are good for us sooner. Whether it’s eating healthier, exercising, starting therapy, checking out a lump or other health concern, getting [...]
Look Deeper
Sometimes it looks like the opposite of what is truly happening! Look deeper, stay open to greater possibilities... There were so many times in my life (and that of my patients and clients) that it looked like doors were closing. Sometimes they were, sometimes they weren't... either way, something wonderful was coming and I couldn't see it yet. Message me, I'd love to hear if this resonates and any stories you'd like to share! Dr. K P.S. I'd love to hear if this resonates and any stories you'd like to share!
Do You Hide Out on Social Media (or Life)?
I just attended a Zoom on going viral on social media taught by my good friend Haley Gray (Yes, she really is a friend – this isn’t marketing-speak). The meeting was chock full of great info! Haley knows what she’s talking about and shares generously…with no BS. She is part of my closest circle of go-tos! There was someone who attended as “iPad”. When "iPad" asked Haley a question, both Haley and I (I can’t speak for anyone else there) felt that something was off. If you have a business you want to grow, make sure you’re aligned with it….and show up! No photo, no name…isn’t going to work to build a business that requires connection and trust - especially on social media. Truly…what business doesn’t require those things… And, if you’re thinking, I would never do that, how do you hide out? I'd love it if you’d share [...]
